Harbour Island is one of the gems in the string of islands that make of the Bahamas. Small, quaint and known for its pink sands beaches this island really is a dream location for a bride looking for island old world feel with the luxuries of home. Alicia and Robert had never visited the island before but knew in their hearts that this was the perfect place for them to exchange their vows in front of close friends and family and Pink Sands did not disappoint. Their healthy lifestyle blended perfectly with the environment as you can see from the day-of yoga session on their deck overlooking the ocean. The deck was also the perfect place for the intimate first look and I was so excited to pop those straw hats on this fun-loving couple. I had a great time photographing this special day and was really welcomed as family – always a fun thing for me. Alicia thought of so many lovely details from the locally made straw bags to hold Bahama Handprint towels as gifts for her guests to the location of her reception, overlooking the gorgeous Pink Sands beach. I look forward to more weddings at Pink Sands as there are just so many gorgeous locations to explore. And while there you have to check out the famous boutiques The Blue Rooster and Dilly Dally – where I heard Alicia did some hefty damage. But she did look stunning all day!
