Anna and Spike are what we call “yachties” – they have an amazing life working /living aboard a sailboat and cruising some of the most beautiful waters and places in the world. So it is only fitting that they would pick somewhere as gorgeous as Eleuthera to exchange their vows, with the turquoise Bahamas water as a backdrop.
Bridal prep started in one of the several beautiful cottages on a property known as Squires Estates which is located in the settlement of Governor’s Harbour itself. Following the beautiful beach ceremony Anna asked if we could go back to the Estate to take most of the “formal” photos there, taking advantage of the historic buildings and lush tropical vegetation. How cute is Toad Hall – the little cottage with the ivy and bougainvillea covered walls that you see in some of the images? It was hard for us all to pull away and go back to the cocktails as we loved this location – but arriving at the beach just minutes before sunset allowed us to photograph the rest of the “formals” and family pics in some of the most beautiful magic hour light.
After the usual scrumptuous meal provided by Tippy’s amazing chefs everyone hit the dance floor and they were still rockin’ to the amazing sounds of Eleuthera’s infamous High Rock Band. If you’re having an Eleuthera wedding and want your guests moving all night then this is the band for you! And if you’re looking for stunning tropical decor with fantastic attention to detail then you’ll want to be talking to Mish of Boy Meets Girl Event Planning (and also of the Rainbow Inn and Restaurant).
After the event filled w/end Anna and Spike were back on the boat, cruising with family and then hitting the high seas. Could we be more jealous? 🙂
