Most people who follow my work know how much I love my Carolina brides and their families. There is a warmth, a charm, a sense of family that is so powerful and overwhelming that I always have a difficult time saying goodbye to the amazing people that I meet at these weddings. A lot of them tend to book me for a few days to cover a variety of events and I love that because I get to become part of the group which means no one pays my camera too much attention! While I often shoot welcome and rehearsal dinners, this was a first time for me covering croquet. Perry and James had their series of wedding events at the beautiful, old world Lyford Cay Club. There was a welcome dinner at the beachfront bar the night before – a fun, casual event. And the next morning it was off to the croquet pitch (I think that’s what you call it!). We thought the number to turn up would be small considering the “night before” but instead were pleasantly surprised by a great group of guests with stamina and energy. Here’s a sneak peak of how the late morning events played out – so much fun!!
