How much did I LOVE being in Cat Island to photograph Amy’s wedding! I can’t imagine having a better job, really! It was by a random chain of spontaneous decisions that led Amy to me to photograph her wedding. We began chatting several months ago and, finding that we had a lot in common due to some shared tragedies in our life, we quickly became good friends. And very few things can beat being able to give a good friend memories in photographs that will last a lifetime. I was spoiled during my 2 days in Cat Island – the weather could not have been more perfect, the people fantastic, and the location stunning. The wedding was short and sweet, but the energy lived on through the night! I did end my little trip being attached by a mini-tornado on the beach – the sole target of this random event – but that story I will save for another day!
Amy was my first bride to decide to go boating on the morning of her wedding day. Her mission – to find the flip flops that her sister lost while kayaking in the creek. Amy then went on a mission to pick her own flowers. What a girl! And how low key is that 🙂
Amy – relaxing before the ceremony, feeding the neighbours dog who “moved” in while she and Chuck were visiting.
