Danielle and Scott and I have been chatting for many months about their Eleuthera, Bahamas wedding. Although they are Canadian and live in the Middle East right now, they spend a lot of time in Eleuthera hanging out, fishing, and making friends. So south Eleuthera was the perfect spot for their laid back, island style wedding.
They chose the famous Lighthouse Beach for the ceremony – a trek along bush roads to get there but absolutely worth the journey – with the casual ceremony being held back at the Cape Eleuthera Resort where we were all staying.
The morning of the ceremony when I flew in from Nassau the weather started out clear and sunny – but quickly changed to stormy and dramatic – wind, rain, clouds. I was more than a little nervous about the plans as there weren’t too many options to relocate indoors. But Danielle and Scott stuck to their guns with the plans for a beach wedding and the skies opened up, and after a 20 minute ride along potholed, bush roads we arrived at the perfect location for a beach wedding.
The weather and the light stayed with us all afternoon and evening and we were able to take advantage of 2 beautiful south Eleuthera locations to capture some great wedding day memories.
