As the year begins to wind, I am excited to yet again travel to Harbour Island, Eleuthera for another project. This time it was for a 2 day shoot of a vacation rental home that has just been completed and which is part of The Dunmore Beach Club group of properties. Residence Four is an eclectic mix of styles which brings so much character to the house, but which proved a little challenging for a straightforward shoot. For this, I needed a stylist and who better for this project than the talented Leslie Callender of Roomers Limited, an interior design company based in the Bahamas. One of my favourite spaces to shoot was actually the cottage – the architectural design used to create a space for 2 full beds and 2 bathrooms while maintaining privacy and opennes was something I had not seen before. And as a photographer I couldn’t help but fall in love with the stunning acrylic images on the walls. Our two days were filled with scooting around town on our golf cart sourcing some cool items for staging, as well as photographing away at this fun property – and yes, of course, enjoying the scrumptuous meals at the hotel. If you’re looking for a place for R&R I strongly recommend the Dunmore. Hands down the best meals I’ve had in Briland in a long time, and the staff are so much fun while remaining extremely professional and helpful.
