This wedding was exciting for me to shoot not only because I know the bride’s mom AND because O’Nea and Oliver are absolute sweethearts, but also because they were having the ceremony at a venue that rarely, if ever, allows weddings. Cafe Matisse is one of the finest restaurants in the Bahamas, known for its consistent quality and service as well as it’s beautiful garden patio and island feel while located in the heart of downtown Nassau. Because of the popularity of Cafe Matisse for lunch and dinner, O’Nea decided on an early morning ceremony on the patio followed by lunch for friends and family, followed by a nighttime reception at a private home. I love when weddings are structured like this as it allows me time to edit a few of my favourites for a sneakk peak by the bride and her friends in the evening.
Here are some of the images from the morning, as well as a few from the evening reception – notice the last few images of one of our island’s truly talented limbo dancers, squeezing himself under a burning stick. Always a fun addition to a party!
