What can I say about this most amazing couple! Veronika is from Slovakia, Diego is from Colombia and they both live in London, UK. With their families living all over the world they decided to have a small, intimate ceremony on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world – Pink Sands beach on Harbour Island. It wasn’t an elopement, it was just easier! Through the magic of the internet Veronika somehow found me and it was a match made in heaven! Our first night introductory cocktails at the Coral Sands stunning lounge ended up in a small exploration of sunset bars on the island. And our afternoon wedding shoot led to an exploration of some of the great photo op locales on the island, which led to cocktails at the bar with some serious entertainment by “linda” who was having a major mid life crisis. This was the first time a couple has insisted that I join them at their private table for two for their wedding meal – of course, I declined and the waiter refused to set another plate anyway! But who does that?!?! Well, this couple does! So unbelievably warm and open and just so much darn fun! Veronika and Jager (oops, I mean Diego! (inside joke)) were so much fun to photograph that we got up early the next morning to play around on the island taking some great final shots at the “haunted house”. I headed up to Nassau to begin editing, and they spent a few more days on Briland before heading off to South Beach for some real partying! And of course, being who they are, they emailed to invite me to join them. How much fun would that have been – I could have hand delivered their images to them, right? However, the timing didn’t quite work out and soon these two will be heading back to the UK, where I am sure I will be visiting them soon!
Veronika apparently does not have her drivers license and is amongst the world’s worst drivers (according to Diego) – so of course, we had to put her in a golf cart which is the easiest thing to drive in the world. Ummmm, what can I say – she really is pretty bad but she did manage to avoid running over the poor man on his bicycle. And you’ll notice the dip – well, this was certainly the first time I’ve had to teach a bride and groom to dip and, well, as you can see from the pictures it didn’t go so well, but made for some brilliant laughs…
Of course, I do have pictures of me with Veronika, sipping champagne and cruising in the golf cart – but that wouldn’t be very professional of me to post now, would it 🙂
Enjoy!
